Bill Belichick had some harsh criticism for Aaron Rodgers

Tell us how you really feel, Bill.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick showered Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers with praise leading up to the Packers-Patriots Sunday night matchup, calling Rodgers “one of the great quarterbacks” in the NFL. However, he had different words during the Patriots’ 31-17 romp.

While wearing a mic for Showtime’s “Inside the NFL,” Belichick spoke critically of the Packers great, questioning his arm strength and encouraging his defense to bait Rodgers into turning the ball over.

“The pass rush is what we want. Keep working the s–t out of those guards and keep him in the pocket,” Belichick said of Rodgers. “He’s tried to throw us two interceptions now. We’re going to get one — he’s just lobbing them up there.

Rodgers threw for 259 yards and two scores, finishing with just a 55.8 completion percentage.

While meeting with the media last week, Belichick dealt Rodgers many compliments.

“He has great accuracy,” Belichick said. “Very mobile in the pocket. He extends plays. Really good vision down the field. Uses the cadence well. He’s a very good situational player. He’s just one of the great quarterbacks in the National Football League. No question about it.”
