Big-race sponsors OLBG unveil Road To Cheltenham mares' series

Big-race sponsors OLBG have unveiled their 'Road to Cheltenham' series for mares, culminating in the Mares' Hurdle at the Festival in March.

The seven-race series starts on 4 November with a Listed Mares' Hurdle over two-miles at Wetherby before a three-mile event at Kempton on 12 November.

The series then rolls on to Cheltenham on 15 December before Ascot and Doncaster take centre stage on the 19 and 26 January respectively.

Warwick hosts the penultimate leg of the series on 9 February before the Mares' Hurdle itself at the Cheltenham Festival on 12 March.

This will be the eighth year that OLBG has sponsored the mares' series, and their racing product manager Sam Boswell said the sponsorship benefited the sport and OLBG's members.

Boswell said: “Many within our community are massive fans of the sport.

"So being able to support National Hunt Racing whilst giving our users the chance to get really close to the action has been a lot of fun.

"Our top tipsters get tickets to the meetings and many have experienced money can’t buy opportunities such as getting close to connections in the parade ring when helping to choose the best turned out or being involved in the trophy presentation."
