Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing's top picks for today's racing at Chepstow, Musselburgh, Nottingham, Chelmsford and Newcastle

The Sun Racing team have been studying each of the day's five meetings and picked out our strongest fancies across the cards.

Chepstow

Best bet

1.25 Harambe – Showed plenty of ability in bumpers, ending his season with a cracking third in a Grade 2 at Aintree in the spring. Sure to have been well-schooled and looks an exciting recruit to hurdling.

Each-way

2.35 Judge Earle – Consistent type who continues to hit the frame under a variety of conditions. First run for Peter Bowen here and every chance he could find a bit more improvement.

Musselburgh

Best bet

1.15 Good Boy Alfie – Two solid runs over hurdles so far and perhaps would have finished a touch closer at Perth last time but for a mistake at the last. More to come now and this looks a good opening.

Each-way

3.00 Golden Jeffrey – Useful Flat performer and far from disgraced in a decent race when switched back to hurdling at Perth last time. On a decent mark and should go well at a price.

Nottingham

Best bet

2.15 Teruntum Star – He has been plying his trade in some hot sprint handicaps this year. He hasn't quite been seeing his races out over further of late, so the drop back to 5f looks a good move.

Each-way

2.50 Our Lord – Had excuses at over 6f at Kempton last time out and he had previously run well in a higher grade at Chelmsford. Good jockey booking and he is on a decent mark.

Chelmsford

Best bet

6.50 It's Not Unusual – Progressive three-year-old has won impressively at Wolverhampton the last twice. Massive chance of completing the hat-trick under his penalty.

Each-way

6.20 Ertidaad – Back on his last winning mark and perhaps just stretched by 1m2f at this track last time. Should be in the mix now returned to a mile.

Newcastle

Best bet

4.00 Young John – Useful performer won doing handstands at Leicester last time out. Has won at this track so return to all-weather no issue – tough to beat.

Each-way

5.40 Harvest Day – Three time winner who ran with plenty of promise here last time after a wind op. Should be sharper this time around for shrewd yard.
