Best horse racing tips for today's action at Southwell, Sedgefield and Lingfield from Tom Bull

His Whatiam came with a late flourish to land one of my bankers and i'm looking for more of the same on Tuesday.

Southwell

12.40 Princess Harley – A weak maiden even by Southwell's standards and there aren't many that count. Archie Watson fields the Qatar Racing-owned Rare who will almost certainly head the market given her connections. However, she doesn't set a lofty standard and is likely to find Princess Harley too strong. Mick Quinn's progressive type was second in a decent handicap at the track last time out and a repeat of that should be good enough to do the business now. She likes the track and should strip fitter on her second run back from a two month break.

Bully's Tuesday Bankers

12.40 Southwell – Princess Harley

2.30 Lingfield – Somewhere To Be

2.50 Sedgefield – Dr Dunraven

Sedgefield

2.50 Dr Dunraven – Jumped his rivals silly at Plumpton last time out and looks well-handicapped under a 7lb penalty. Was given an easy lead that day and a similar scenario could be on the cards here given the lack of credible front-runners. The drop in trip shouldn't be a problem as he's won over the minimum distance in the past and conditions are ideal. Few of his rivals are in form and he can make the long trip from Wales pay for father-and-son combo Peter and Sean Bowen.

Lingfield

2.30 Somewhere To Be – Was possibly unlucky to have bumped into a progressive one at Uttoxeter last time as he finished over thirty lengths clear of the third. The handicapper took note big time and raised him 8lb but he probably still has more to come given that he was returning from a 173-day break. Martin Keighley has had two winners in the last fortnight and his scopey six-year-old has room for bags of improvement over fences.
