Best horse racing tips for today's action at Newcastle, Exeter and Wolverhampton from Tom Bull

It was probably the most cultured I've been all year – but now I can stop my pretending and get back to the proper grind.

Exeter

4.15 Spring Wolf – For an eleven-year-old to be making only his seventh start under rules is quite unusual, but with this one it's clearly been worth the wait.

He's both his starts in handicap chases and beat a dual subsequent winner at this track in January.

A win at Taunton last time bumped him up another 6lb but it's unlikely he's overburdened just yet and he can go in again.

2.00 Newcastle – Arctic Road

4.15 Exeter – Spring Wolf

5.30 Wolverhampton – Moon Of Baroda

Newcastle

2.00 Arctic Road – Came good on his second run in handicaps and still has more to give off a 5lb higher mark.

Needs to prove himself on a sounder surface but there's no reason why he shouldn't like it and this a very poor race for the amount of runners.

Ross Turner can claim his full 7lb this time and he looks capable of following up.

Wolverhampton

5.30 Moon Of Baroda – Found absolutely zilch last time over a longer trip but he may have got tired after racing freely and going four wide around the home turn.

The sharper track and shorter trip here will help him and he just sneaks into Class 5 company.

If he puts it all in he's definitely the horse with the most potential.
