Pennant backs Liverpool over Arsenal
Jermaine Pennant has insisted that Liverpool are in a "better place" than Arsenal and could overtake them in the title race.
He told talkSPORT: “At the moment, I would say Liverpool are in a better place than Arsenal. In the games that they’ve played, they look better than Arsenal right now. 100%.
“That’s not me being biassed; I think at the moment Arteta’s still tweaking; he doesn’t know what’s best, trying to fit everyone in the team; you see that in performances like against Fulham.
“We’ll write Man United off because they’re all over the shop at the moment. But I think Liverpool, playing Arsenal, Liverpool would be the favourites going into that game.”

“Odegaard is club captain, and an important player on and off the pitch.
“Arsenal are now planning to continue contract negotiations with Ødegaard in the next weeks and months, in order to get a new deal done, following the fine work they did to tie down other star players such as Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson in recent months.
“Now it’s time for Odegaard – and Arsenal are very optimistic about a positive outcome to this story, with the Norwegian likely to sign a new long-term deal with an improved salary.
