Arsenal fans urge Emery to flog Xhaka and Mustafi – as Monreal and Elneny leave club – The Sun

ARSENAL fans have urged Unai Emery to flog Grant Xhaka and Shkodran Mustafi – as Nacho Monreal and Mohamed Elneny both left the club on Saturday.

Unai Emery ramped up his summer clear-out a day before the North London derby, as Monreal and Elneny were both allowed to leave.

Monreal joined Real Sociedad in a deal worth just £200,000 – while Elneny flew to Turkey to link-up with Besiktas on a season-long loan.

Not content with that, angry Gooners demanded the club get rid of the rest of the deadwood.

Above all, Arsenal supporters appear to want Xhaka and Mustafi gone.

But the likes of Mesut Ozil, Sead Kolasinac and Henrikh Mkhitaryan also came in for criticism.

Despite Arsenal fans being happy at Saturday's double sale – the club have a worrying lack of back-up now, particularly in defence.

Kolasinac is not yet fully fit, while new-boy Kieran Tierney is yet to play a single minute through injury.

Hector Bellerin is still crocked, Carl Jenkinson was sold in the summer and Ainsley Maitland-Niles seems more midfield than defence.
