Arsenal could use Nelson or Maitland-Niles as part-exchange for Crystal Palace star Wan-Bissaka

ARSENAL may throw players at Crystal Palace in a bid to land right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Gunners are desperate for the young defender — top spy Brian McDermott checked on him last week.

Palace want £40million for their former academy kid but Arsenal hope to tempt them with a couple of young fringe players to lower the cost.

Reiss Nelson, on loan at Hoffenheim in Germany, is a potential makeweight if Palace fancy him.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles could even figure in talks in any part-exchanged deal.

Arsenal are convinced about Wan-Bissaka, 21, but have their own budget problems so could have to sell to finance the deal.

Bayern Munich will not go that far, while other Prem clubs have him on shortlists but not at the top.

Arsenal have looked everywhere for a right-back who fits boss Unai Emery’s system.

The Gunners are adamant any incoming signing must boast great pace and defensive strength.
