Anthony Joshua’s £200k Range Rover has been stolen by a very brave thief

Anthony Joshua ‘s custom-made £200,000 Land Rover has been stolen ahead of his world heavyweight title clash at Wembley.

The signature vehicle was pinched on Thursday from the home of a relative of AJ’s in London with the suspect caught on CCTV.

AJ is deep in training to defend his belts against Alexander Povetkin with the theft an untimely distraction.

The Range Rover SVAutobiography-Dynamic was a gift from Land Rover Jaguar ahead of his fight with Wladimir Klitschko and includes a number of personalised details.

It has been given a unique paint job with the colour named after the Brit as ‘World Champion Graphite.’

AJ’s signature is embossed into the headrests and then engraved into aluminium letter box finishers on the door cards.

A spokesman for Joshua is quoted by the Sun as saying: "A shared car was stolen from a relatives central London home in the early hours of the morning.

"This is now a police matter and no further information will be made available."

Nobody is thought to have been hurt in the incident, while a tracking device in the car has given Joshua hope he can recover it.

Police believe thieves may have used a keyless device to mimic the car fob. Available for just £100, it can pick up the signal from the genuine fob and trick the car into being opened.

Once inside, thieves can use a computer to start the engine and can fetch about £5,000 per car by dismantling it and rebuilding it with alternative pieces from other stolen cars to ensure the car is less identifiable.

"You know someone’s happy when they’re 50m away from the car and they’re saying that looks phenomenal and they haven’t even got inside," Joshua previously said about the Range Rover.

"I’m not someone that’s like ‘that will do, I’m happy with that’. It’s great or nothing and I’m over the moon with that.

"It’s just perfect. It’s subtle and your eyes draw to the finer details, the small touches of attention and I’m overwhelmed.

"I couldn’t have asked for anything anymore. That’s what having a special car is about – something that represents you."
