Anthony Davis appears to say bye to Pelicans with shirt

At least Anthony Davis is providing fair warning — in case anybody had forgotten.

The Unibrow showed up to the Pelicans’ final game of the year Tuesday wearing a T-shirt that read, “That’s all Folks!”

Davis channeled “Looney Tunes” and his inner Porky Pig to say goodbye, at least for the season, but likely for his Pelicans career. The 6-foot-10 All-Star tried to force his way off the team in the middle of the season, publicly requesting a trade through his agent, with the Lakers reportedly as his preferred destination. But the Pelicans refused to give in before the trade deadline, likely to have more leverage in the summer.

While he still has two years left on his contract, Davis is expected to be in a different jersey come next season, with the Lakers, Celtics and Knicks all among his possible destinations via trade.

Davis has played in only 56 of the Pelicans’ 81 games entering Tuesday, including missing the last six with a back injury, as the two sides awkwardly played out the string. He averaged 25.9 points and 12 rebounds per game as the Pelicans missed the playoffs.
