Alex Sandro 'receives £8.9m-a-year offer from Premier League club' in fresh twist with Man Utd and Chelsea in pursuit

The Juventus full-back is looking for around £7m per season, plus bonuses, to sign a new deal with the Serie A champions, say calciomercato.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been interested in Sandro since last summer's transfer window.

Sandro's demands are around three times what he makes now and would give him status as Juve's second highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead of Paulo Dybala.

Such a huge increase in wages is said to be the reason for talks on his new deal hitting a wall.

Especially given Juve chiefs themselves were looking at something more in the region of £4m per season.

Sandro, 27, knows his talent is in hot demand and recently put top-flight English clubs on alert by saying he wants to play in the Premier League.

The Brazilian's contract at the Allianz Arena is set to expire in 2020 and Max Allegri is believed to want him to stay.

Reports last summer claimed United had agreed terms with Sandro ahead of a potential £53m transfer.

Manchester City were also said to be considering a move while other reports claimed Sandro had his heart set on a switch to French side PSG.

Sandro, who has 13 caps for Brazil, has three Serie A titles with the Old Lady since joining in 2015.

He has won the Coppa Italia three times as well and finished runner-up in the Champions League.
