  • MANCHESTER UNITED will face competition for Ivan Rakitic from Juventus and Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The Barcelona ace has been on the Red Devils' wanted list for some time but they could now be scuppered by the Italian pair.

The Croatian midfielder has struggled for game time at the Nou Camp this season and could be on his way in January.

But Calciomercato claim the Italian giants could swoop for the World Cup finalist and ruin United's plans.

The 31-year-old has started just once in La Liga this season, and was not even in the squad for Barca's last game against Villareal,

United were recently put on red alert as reports surfaced of the Catalans' desire to sell the Croatian in order to raise transfer funds.

The La Liga champions were reportedly willing to accept bids of around £50million.

  • BAYERN MUNICH reportedly remain keen on signing crocked Manchester City star Leroy Sane.

Bild claims the Germans are still desperate to bring the winger to Bavaria despite Serge Gnabry’s Champions League heroics against Spurs last night.

Former Arsenal man Gnabry scored four goals as Bayern battered Mauricio Pochettino’s men 7-2 in north London.

But that has not put Bayern off pursuing a deal for his international teammate Sane.

The City star was close to an Allianz Arena switch in August before sustaining a season-ending injury in the Community Shield.

The City star was close to an Allianz Arena switch in August before sustaining a season-ending injury in the Community Shield.

But Bayern are yet to fully replace iconic wing wonders Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who left the club at the end of last season.

And they want Sane to compete with Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, despite loaning Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.

Bild also claims Bayern are looking to sign Philippe Coutinho permanently from Barcelona.

But they are first going to try for Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz.

  • INTER MILAN are eyeing a sensational January swoop for Burnley star Jay Rodriguez, according to reports.

Antonio Conte wants to sign another striker to take the pressure off former Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku.

According to Calcimercatoweb, Rodriguez has emerged as one of the names on Conte's shortlist.

It is reported that Olivier Giroud, SPAL forward Andrea Petagna, Udinese ace Kevin Lasagna and Real Madrid's Luka Jovic are also being considered.

Alternatively, Inter could hold out and make their move for Atalanta star Duvan Zapata next summer.

Rodriguez returned for his second spell with Burnley in July in a £5million move from West Brom.

  • GABRIEL JESUS was offered to Bayern Munich by Manchester City for £90million in the summer but the Germans refused, it has been claimed.

The Bundesliga champions – who humiliated Tottenham 7-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday – have been courting Leroy Sane for some time as they look to replace legendary wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.

But City were unwilling to sell their German winger and instead offered their Brazilian striker in his place, according to Bild.

The Premier League champions were reportedly prepared to let the striker go for £90m.

But Bayern turned down the offer as they still want to bag Sane.

The German giants' outgoing president Uli Hoeness recently confirmed as such with a bold statement despite Sane's recent serious knee injury.

  • ARSENAL are reportedly desperate to tie down star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new deal.

And it is likely new terms will see the Gabon international match the £350,000-a-week out-of-favour midfielder Mesut Ozil takes home.

Aubameyang has been a huge hit at the Emirates since joining from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.

He finished last season as the Premier League's top scorer along with Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

He has already scored seven goals so far this season.

MailOnline reports that he is currently raking in £200,000-a-week with Arsenal believing that offloading Ozil is “key to help free up significant funds for the club's contract renewal drive”.
