5 destinations for Ramsey as he prepares to leave Arsenal on a free

Aaron Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal on a free at the end of the season.

Mirror Sport exclusively revealed earlier this week that there is no new contract offer on the table for the Welshman.

Ramsey is in the final year of his Emirates deal and had been confident an agreement would be reached with the club.

But talks have completely broken down meaning Arsenal stand to lose one of their key men for nothing next summer.

The 27-year-old is unlikely to be short of offers – but where could he be plying his trade come the start of next season?

Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to sign Ramsey from Cardiff in 2008 – and he could finally end up at Old Trafford over a decade later.

Jose Mourinho is thought to be an admirer of the midfielder, who would be seen as an ideal replacement for Paul Pogba.

United of course snapped up Alexis Sanchez in January, with the Chilean in a similar situation to Ramsey.

Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri was tipped to make a late approach for Ramsey in the summer but no bid materialised.

The midfielder is settled in London and Chelsea believe the opportunity to stay put could work in their favour.

With Cesc Fabregas turning 32 at the end of the season, a move for Ramsey would make sense.

Juventus

The Italian champions have joined the chase for the midfielder.

Juve completed a similar raid on Liverpool for Emre Can at the end of last season and are thought to be keeping tabs on Ramsey.

The opportunity to test himself in a different league, and play alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo , may well appeal.

Lazio

Another Italian side who have registered an interest.

They emerged as surprise contenders to sign Ramsey in the summer and the interest is still there.

Lazio face a battle to keep hold of midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ramsey could be the man to replace him.

Everton

The Toffees have flexed their financial muscle in the last couple of years and may do so again.

Ramsey’s long-term teammate Theo Walcott quit the Emirates for Goodison in January and his career has been given a new lease of life.
