  • REAL 'ENQUIRY' FOR AUBA

Real Madrid have reportedly “made an enquiry” for Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Spanish giants are set to make reinforcements to their forward line having failed to replace Cristiano Ronaldo when he left for Juventus in 2018.

And according to France Football, their attentions are focussing on £44m-rated striker Aubameyang.

The 30-year-old Gabon international is yet to sign a new deal at the Emirates with his contract only having another season to run after this one.

The Gunners paid Borussia Dortmund £56million to sign the forward in January 2018.

He has scored 61 goals in just 97 games and would represent a huge loss if he were to leave Mikel Arteta's North Londoners.

Real's big rivals Barcelona are also believed to be monitoring Aubameyang's situation.

  • WILSH HASN'T COME TRUE

Ex-Arsenal and Engand midfielder Jack Wilshere admits he has struggled at West Ham.

The 34-cap play-maker, 28, has been just as plagued by injuries at the London Stadium as he was at the Emirates.

He said: “It hasn’t gone the way I wanted it to.

“I’ve missed too much football, I haven’t played enough games.

“I want to get back on track, get my career back on track, get playing games week-in, week-out and start to feel like a footballer again.”

  • SLICE OF PIE'

Real Madrid have made an initial approach for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to France Football.

The Gabon striker has scored 20 goals for the Gunners this season and has been attracting interest from Barcelona, Inter Milan and now Real.

Mikel Arteta is determined to keep hold of Aubameyang, but with 12 months left at the end of his contract, the situation could be beyond their control.

  • DAYO RECKONING

Arsenal have been dealt a transfer blow with news that Manchester United and City are interested in signing French defender Dayot Upamecano, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has been attracting interest from Europe's top clubs, but the North London club had been making the centre-back one of their top summer priorities.

But now the RB Leipzig star is being pursued by their Prem rivals, according to Sky Sports.

Pep Guardiola's side have been leaking goals this season after being among the top defensive units in the top flight previously.

And Upamecano would likely play alongside Harry Maguire in the heart of the United defence, making their back line among the most solid in Europe.
