  • BRUNO FERNANDES has reportedly told Sporting Lisbon he wants to join Tottenham this week.

The long-term Manchester United target has looked set for a move to Old Trafford for weeks after his sensational displays for club and country last season.

Now the Daily Mail claim the 24-year-old attacking midfielder has his heart set on a switch to Spurs instead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

They state Fernandes met with Sporting president Federico Varandas on Friday to inform him of his wishes.

And he is hoping the Portuguese club will not stand in his way of playing in the Premier League for the North London outfit.

  • TOTTENHAM hope to confirm Ryan Sessegnon's transfer from Fulham in the next week.

The teenage star was left out of the Cottagers squad for the trip to Barnsley yesterday due to a hamstring injury.

Mauricio Pochettino has been tracking the 19-year-old's development over the past 18 months.

According to the Evening Standard, Spurs are “hopeful” of signing Sessegnon in the next week, and the deal doesn’t depend on the future of Danny Rose.

  • TOTTENHAM fans hoped Ryan Sessegnon's absence from Fulham's opening Championship defeat signified his imminent switch to North London.

However, Cottagers boss Scott Parker insists the wing-back was simply injured.

Speculation has refused to go away despite Fulham's determination to keep the young English star.

Sun Sport revealed yesterday Spurs' confidence in getting a £25million deal over the line before Thursday's transfer deadline.

  • LEROY SANE close to completing move to Bayern Munich, claim reports.

According to German publication Express, the English and German champions have agreed a £91million fee.

There has supposedly been a breakthrough in wage negotiations too, which was actually the initial stumbling block in a deal being agreed.

  • IAN HOLLOWAY says Ryan Sessegnon should stay at Fulham as he “probably” won't get into Spurs' team straight away.

Speaking to Starsport, Holloway said: “Will he get in Tottenham's team straight away? Probably not. He should stay where he is and earn his stripes.”

The former Crystal Palace manager heaped praise on the full-back though, saying, “The boy is exceptional, he really is”.
