The entire list was copied and posted on social media site Reddit where it drew thousands of comments.
Some readers expressed sympathy for the man, and very few saw the woman’s point while a handful suspected that the entire post might be fake.
But that was contradicted straight away by another user who said “I was married to someone like this. Believe me, it’s not fake.”
Various users added comedy rules of their own, such as “Teacups must be used with saucers” and “Veggies and ranch dressing can not be on the same table.”
“On a serious note, if your best friend is ever in a relationship like this, rescue him, because that’s coercive control”

The original Facebook post attracted over 200 comments very quickly – most of them suggesting that the woman was making a serious mistake by being so restrictive – and so the original poster replied: “Okay guys, I have taken your feedback and you’re right.
“I can’t control him once he leaves the house, and I can’t control his friends so I’ve decided just to not let him go.”
That proved the clincher for many, who felt that she had goes too far by trying to control her man to that extent an that she was on a fast track to divorce.
As one reddit user put it: “I’m trying to imagine one of my friends pulling this list out at a bachelor party and telling us that these are the rules his wife set out for us. My God, the verbal obliteration they would get would be legendary.”
