A retired United States Air Force (USAF) general has hinted three groundbreaking forms of technology are ready to be developed by the Space Force.
Steven L. Kwast spent 33 years in the Air Force with more than 3,300 flying hours and 650 combat hours during Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm and more.
He retired from the military earlier this year but still holds an interest in it – particularly in the Space Force.
The Space Force is the proposed sixth branch of the USAF and US President Donald Trump has previously said he hopes it to be established by 2020.
It has seen its fair share of critics, with one expert previously telling Daily Star Online that the militarisation of space could lead to WW3.

But Kwast believes the technological improvements at the disposal of the Space Force far outweigh its negatives.
Speaking at a talk at Michigan’s Hillsdale College – which was posted to YouTube on December 5 – he said: “The technology is on the engineering benches today.
“But most Americans and most members of Congress have not had time to really look deeply at what is going on here.
“But I’ve had the benefit of 33 years of studying and making friends with these scientists.

“This technology can be built today with technology that is not developmental.”
There are three specific advancements that could happen, Kwast claimed.
“To deliver any human being from any place on Earth to any other place on Earth in less than hour,” he continued.
“To deliver wi-fi from space where you don’t need a cell tower to connect.
“To deliver energy from space where you won’t need to plug your phone in and it trickle charges and you can use that energy over time.”
Such improvements will “change world power forever”, the military man added.
Many conspiracy theorists believe the Space Force crafts have already been seen in the skies above the US, despite not being an official organisation.
Bruce Gagnon – the head of an anti-Space Force organisation – told Daily Star Online many of the UFOs seen across the country “could be the military's new Space Force craft that they've built using a secret military budget”.
And a professor also told this site how a snake-like UFO seen over Florida could be “a hybrid air, land and sea craft run by USAF”.
