Samsung is thought to be developing a new smart shirt with built in sensors that can diagnose diseases through your smartphone.
The technology uses sensors can make extensive lung function readings by detecting sound from the organs and providing diagnosis and advice, LetsGoDigital reports.
The Korean manufacturing giant have respiratory diseases can be diagnosed as well as the frequency and strength of breath can be measured.
A number of different diagnoses can be made including pneumonia and bronchitis, but also chronic lung diseases such as asthma and COPD are recognised.

According to a patent filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the technology takes your health history into account along with your Body Mass Index.
To get the correct diagnosis, the user’s age, gender, weight and height are taken into account along with their medical history.
The sensors connect to the smartphone, so the user can read the diagnosis, like ‘pneumonia symptoms’ or ‘respiratory infection’ on the screen.

Not all patents that are filed and granted become reality as large companies regularly apply for patents on its ideas.
WHY WERE APPLE AND SAMSUNG LOCKED IN A PATENT TRIAL?
Smartphone rivals Samsung and Apple were been locked in a vicious court battle over allegedly stolen patents.
The trial first erupted in 2011, just a year after Apple released the original iPhone 4.
The two hi-tech behemoths went to court over the designs that have now become commonplace on most popular smartphones, with a court ruling in 2012 in flavor of Apple.
At issue were design features by now familiar to consumers: a black, rectangular, round-cornered phone front, a surrounding rim, known as the ‘bezel’ and a grid of 16 colourful icon.
Samsung was ordered to pay over a billion dollars to Apple, but that amount was later lowered to roughly $340 million. Now, the pair are back in court for a new trial
Those design elements were protected, prompting the jury to award Apple all the profits from sales of smartphones containing those features, Samsung lawyers said in their filing.

In the latest trial, Apple has the burden of proof to prove that Samsung should pay the full $1 billion in damages.
At the end of May, a jury handed down its most recent decision regarding the Apple v. Samsung case, declaring the South Korean tech giant owes $533,316,606 for infringing on Apple’s iPhone design patents.
Another $5.3 million was awarded for two utility patents.
