Samsung release biggest TV ever – with a massive 20 foot screen

But how big is big enough? Modern flat screen technology enables us to have affordable 55” sets that challenge the smaller screens in your local multiplex.

But if technology can make something big, then that same technology can make something bigger.

Korean tech company Samsung have just announced the biggest TV so far, and maybe the biggest TV there ever will be.

At a whopping 292” – a little over 21 feet on its longest side – The Wall Luxury is only a realistic prospect for people with a seriously big room to put it in.

If space is tight though, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s only 30mm thick.

The modular design offers up to 8k resolution, four times as sharp as a regular 1080p HD screen.

While there isn’t very much 8k content around yet to actually watch, the Wall Luxury promises use artificial intelligence to upscale your 4k or HD content to take advantage of the extra pixels.

If you have to ask how much all this high tech telly technology is going to set you back, you probably can’t afford it. But if you have bought one of these things, you won’t ever want to switch it off.

“We set out to create a product unlike anything else ”

Mark Quiroz

Which is just as well, because you’re not supposed to. The Samsung mega-telly’s MicroLED screen is supposed to stay on 24-7, flipping into a fine art display when it’s not actively in use.

Mark Quiroz, Samsung’s American vice president of product marketing, said: “Throughout the last twelve months, we’ve closely monitored interior design and technology trends to shape the product planning and development of The Wall Luxury.

He copntinued: “We set out to create a product unlike anything else – matching the lifestyle and taste of those looking for the most exclusive and premium visual experiences in their homes.”

Or, more realistically, selling their homes and buying four of these to make a hut out of.
