  • A set of newly leaked images give a glimpse at Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and S10+
  • They feature an ‘Infinity-O’ display, which has a hole-punch in the right corner
  • Samsung is widely tipped to launch five new devices at an event next month

A set of freshly leaked images give a detailed glimpse at what could be Samsung’s yet-to-be-released flagship phone, the Galaxy S10.

The photos, which were published by All About Samsung, show off what appears to be both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ ahead of their official launch next month.

If authentic, the devices will sport Samsung’s ‘Infinity-O’ display, which has a ‘hole-punch’ in the upper right corner to house the front-facing camera, instead of a notch.

It’s been widely speculated that Samsung plans to debut this ‘hole-punch’ design in its upcoming smartphone lineup.

Another set of photos, posted by Twitter user Ben Geskin, also confirm the Infinity O design.

Samsung first debuted this camera cutout design in the Galaxy A8S phone, released in China late last year, which features the ‘Infinity O’ display.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ are expected to feature a 6.1-inch screen and a 6.4-inch screen, respectively.

The leaked images show that they both feature a nearly bezel-less screen, aside from a small chin at the bottom.

Both seem to feature a SIM card slot, USB-C port and, in a bit of a dig at Apple, they also have a headphone jack.

The photos give credence to previous rumors that the S10+ will feature a dual-lens front-facing camera, as well as a triple-lens rear camera. The S10 will have dual-lens cameras on the back

The photos don’t clear up whether Samsung is planning to release a third device, however.

Previous reports have suggested that Samsung will release a third, budget version of its Galaxy lineup, called the S10 Lite.

The S10 Lite is expected to have many of the same features as the higher-end versions, but will have a smaller 5.8-inch screen and sell at a cheaper price point.

Additionally, the S10 and S10+ are expected to have in-display fingerprint readers, though that remains unclear based on the leaked photos.

It may also have a 5G variant of the S10+ up its sleeve next month.

Samsung will officially take the wraps off of its latest smartphone lineup at the ‘Unpacked’ event in San Francisco on February 20th.

It typically reveals its new devices at the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but this year the company is taking a break from that tradition.

Along with the Galaxy devices, Samsung is also expected to reveal its folding phone.

It is believed the pioneering handset will cost approximately two million Korean Won, which is around £1,370 ($1,760), before taxes.

The pricey gadget has been labeled the Samsung ‘Galaxy F’ and is expected to be available to buy in early 2019.

SAMSUNG’S FOLDING PHONE

Samsung’s foldable smartphone was announced last week and leaked reports from Korea are claiming it will be more expensive that its rival, the iPhone XS.

It is believed the pioneering handset will cost approximately two million Korean Won, which is around £1,370 ($1,760), before taxes.

The pricey gadget has been labelled the Samsung ‘Galaxy F’ and is expected to be available to buy in early 2019.

iPhone’s current marquee device, the XS, starts at £999 ($999) while the larger XS Max is available for a minimum of £1,099 ($1,099).

Kim Jang-yeol, head of research at Golden Bridge Investment, told the Korean Times that the device will be so expensive as a result of it being the first mainstream device to enter the unknown territory of foldable handsets.

According to the leak, the screen will expand to a 7.3-inch OLED screen when unfurled and it will shrink to a 4.5-inch display when closed.

The device is shrouded in mystery and Samsung has yet to release any confirmed details about the gadget’s specifications or release.

Samsung’s Developer Conference last week provided the first glimpse at the device when a prototype was displayed on a deliberately dark stage.

The tech giant has already confirmed that the phone has an Infinity Flex Display, which enables it to transform into a phone or a tablet when it’s opened and closed.
