The footage – filmed in Algeria yesterday – shows the orange-coloured face of the cloud hovering in the sky.
A grey tail traipses behind the terrifying spectre, leading up to the sky and through the Earth’s atmosphere.
Onlookers were left petrified as they claimed the cloud appeared to be a world-ending meteor hurtling directly towards the Earth.
Brandon Nagley shared the video to a popular UFO sightings page last night, with the caption: “Looks to be Planet X or Nibiru tail coming through our atmosphere.”
Nibiru – also known as Planet X – has long been prophesied by conspiracy theorists.
Doomsayers believe the huge mystical alien world is hurtling through space and will eventually smash into Earth, wiping out mankind.
Within its first few hours, some 4,500 people have viewed the footage.
Many people further fuelled claims of a cataclysm disaster being imminent.
One person added: “I think it’s a meteor.”
Another bizarrely commented: “Bloody Hell. UFO spacecraft has caught on fire but still able to fly.”
Not everyone believed the wacky claims, however.
One viewer said: “It’s very clear that it’s a fake.”
It comes after a scientist warned that Earth will have only six months notice if an apocalyptic comet were to strike.
Last week, a tourist captured “UFOs” emerging from inside a huge red cloud.
