Man books ‘worst hotel in Blackpool’ after wild night out and says it’s haunted

A TikTok star drunkenly booked himself into one of the worst-rated hotels in Blackpool and then shared a video of his hairy experience with fans.

Stephen Gamsby, whose videos have racked up over a million likes and 400 million views, was on a night out in Manchester when he decided to book the hotel in Blackpool.

The 26-year-old, who is from Warwickshire, woke the following morning with a feeling of dread about his upcoming stay.

Stephen told LancsLive: "I woke up the next morning and thought, 'Oh my God, what have I done?'

"But we thought, 'Surely it can't be that bad?' So we went."

After arriving in Blackpool, Stephen was shocked when he and pal Jake Brown @brownjakey were shown inside the room but "didn't have the guts to complain" and confessed: "I'm the sort of person who, if I'm served raw chicken, I'll just eat it."

Stephen shared a video of the hotel room on his @mrstephen95x TikTok with the caption: "we stayed at the worst-rated hotel in Blackpool so you don't have to".

In the clip, wallpaper is peeling from the cracked plaster, there is a suspicious dark stain on the carpet, a hole in the wall, and Stephen also notes the funky bed divan pattern "doesn't even match".

Stephen, who does psychic readings for fans, claimed: "The room had a spirit. Every time I said 'spirit can you do that again?' the light under the mirror flickered."

Despite the alleged ghost and dingy room, he said he "really enjoyed" his night out in Blackpool and slept "pretty well" – which is the main thing most people want from a hotel, after all.

The hotel in question isn't actually the "worst" in Blackpool, although it is rated within the bottom 50 as judged by reviews on Trip Advisor.
