Elon Musk ’s Starlink satellites have sparked waves of UFO reports over Michigan after the constellation was spotted above the US state.
Social media has been flooded with mystified residents posting bizarre photos and videos of a string of lights in the skies.
One clip shows the moment the lights appear as people behind the cameraman suggest their thoughts.
“Those are reindeer doing a test run for Christmas,” one man can be heard saying.
“No for real, there is more coming, there’s a ton of those.
“How are they in such a straight line?”
The cameraman Brad Sugden shared the clip online yesterday where dozens of people commented that they had also seen the lights across the US.

Some said they were seen above Augusta, Georgia, while others said they had spotted them above San Francisco in California.
“All hail the UFO overlords,” one added.
Another resident – Sindi Kozminske – asked a local news outlet on Facebook: “What are the weird stars in a row in the sky?”
But it was soon revealed that the sight was down to Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites.
The constellation of satellites – built by the billionaire’s SpaceX company – orbits the Earth at 174 miles altitude and is hoped to provide satellite Internet access.

As of last month, the company had deployed 122 satellites but is aiming to launch 12,000 by the mid-2020s.
Astronomers have widely criticised the constellation, claiming the number of satellites will severely impact scientific observations.
SpaceX representatives have said they will have minimal impact.
It is not the only conspiracy frenzy to have been sparked by the company in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, eagle-eyed viewers claimed to have seen a UFO in the background of a SpaceX live feed from one of their rocket launches.
