Bloke who lives as a dog panics and turns around after stepping outside for walk

A man who posts updates of his life as a ‘giant dog’ was filmed heading back home after becoming scared a few yards into a walk.

YouTuber Toco spent around £12,480 on a human-sized custom collie costume to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming an animal and exploring outside as a dog.

In a recent video, the Japanese canine lover geared up in the lifelike outfit, accompanied by a collar and a lead, for his favourite activity. Toco was wagging his tail as he made his way outside on all fours, while his faithful owner pulled him along with the red lead.

Just moments later, Toco stopped in his tracks as he anxiously looked ahead in fear. Adorable footage showed the collie lying on its belly whilst timidly focusing on something in the distance, with the caption: “I’m nervous that someone might see me”.

The animal fan attempted a few more steps before nerves got the better of him and he decided to head back inside. The subtitles then read: “I’m getting afraid and will turn back here.”

The following scenes showed Toco rolling over for belly rubs, pretending to sit and lift his paws and scratching the wall in a playful way.

Viewers flocked to the comments to show their support for the pooch, as one user wrote: “What a beautiful & well behaved doggy don’t be scared, don’t be afraid of what people might think or say, they don’t know you & you don’t know them so why care about them!”

Another penned: “Hey Toco! Glad to see you upland a new wonderful video and walking on the street again. You are so cute, more and more Look like a real dog!”

“So glad to see a new Toco video!! I wish you didn't have to be nervous about going out. You should be able to have a great walk,” wrote a third.

Toco's fans reassure him that he isn't weird and he shouldn't hide his animal desire from his close family and friends.

The social media star, who regularly uploads on the YouTube channel ‘I want to be an animal’, has nearly 30k subscribers on his account.

Speaking about the opinions of his peers, Toco previously told the Mirror: "I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal."

Toco says he most enjoys "doing things that only dogs do" because it makes him feel like a proper pet. He finds activities that involve his hands the most difficult as his paws often get in the way.

"Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation," Toco said.

He explained that he chose a collie because it is his “favourite” breed of dog, and purchased the realistic costume from Zeppet, a Japanese agency known for creating sculptures and models for movies.

It reportedly took Zeppet 40 days to make the costume, as Toco kept adding improvements to make it perfect.
