I'm A Celeb finalist Vernon Kay revealed he wants to work with his wife Tess Daly again – for the first time in 13 years.
The 46-year-old, who on Friday came third in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity, told how he was eager to get back fronting a show with his Strictly star wife.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Vernon said: "I love working with Tess. She is one of the most dedicated presenters I’ve ever worked with.
"If we were to work together it would be an absolute dream."
It has been 13 years since the pair last teamed up for a prime-time show – on BBC singing contest Just The Two Of Us.
Vernon also said that being away from his family left him “emotionally drained”.
Tess and Vernon, who have been married since 2003, share daughters Phoebe, 16, and Amber 11, together.
The presenter broke down in tears in the TV castle because he missed wife Tess and their two daughters so much.
Making it to Friday’s final meant he was away from them for more than five weeks, as stars had to isolate for two weeks before entering the castle.
In his only interview, Vernon added: “I still cry at Forrest Gump, so I expected to cry while I was on I’m A Celebrity. I even cried in the interview I did at the start of the series.
“And when you’re in there, you are emotionally drained because you are missing your family. I felt comfortable with that group of people that I could cry. I didn’t think about trying to stop myself from getting emotional.
“You are physically drained, too. We were eating nothing but rice and beans most of the time. I lost two-and-a-half stone – that’s weight I didn’t really have to lose.”
Vernon had an emotional reunion with Strictly presenter Tess and their girls last night. It was a chance for him to see how proud he had made them during his time on the ITV series.
He said: “Tess is so, so proud. She is just elated. She said that all three of them jumped through the roof when I got to the final. They were glued to the TV.
“That reassured me. I went in to make the girls proud and that reassured me that I’d done that.”
