The Real Reason Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Postponed Their Wedding Ceremony

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin shocked the world in the fall of 2018 when they got back together after being apart for several years, and randomly got married. The newlyweds kept their marriage lowkey and under wraps. Also, in order to enjoy their wedded bliss out of the glaring spotlight and away from the paparazzi, the pair decided to move to Bieber’s native Canada and purchase an adorable puppy.

However, even though they are legally married, the blonde couple was set to have a traditional religious ceremony in January 2019. Now, though the New Year is upon us, Bieber and Baldwin have decided to postpone their ceremony. But why?

Some guest list drama

There’s no drama between the newlyweds, but they aren’t quite ready to stand up in front of friends and family to exchange rings and declare their love for one another. When the pair first wed, multiple sources told Entertainment Tonight, “Justin and Hailey are still planning to have a wedding or celebration with their closest friends and family. However, Justin is very spontaneous. [He] keeps Hailey and everyone on their toes.”  Now there is a bit of a snag in the young lovers’ plans — issues that they did not quite anticipate. Because Hollywood is in the midst of awards season and movies and TV shows have begun filming again, many of Bieber and Baldwin’s friends and loved ones are booked and busy.

An insider told People, “They’re working with the schedules of all their friends and family to make sure they can be surrounded by the people they love. There’s no real rush, They’ve been figuring out the perfect time to do it, and they both feel like the sooner, the better. They’re still figuring it out.”

No prenup. no problem

Whether the couple decides to have a formal wedding or not, they are in this thing for life. After all, when they wed, neither one of them signed a prenup. Bieber is reportedly worth $265 million, and though his wife, is successful in her own right, Balwdin’s $2 million fortune comes nowhere close to the pop star’s.

According to TMZ, the pair were married in Sept. 2018 without a prenup. They did contact their attorneys about getting one. However, since they married the same day they spoke to their lawyers there wasn’t enough time to have one drawn up.

A source close to the couple said, “Justin and Hailey wanted to be married, and didn’t want to wait. They didn’t want word to get out right away though so they “kept their marriage a secret from a lot of people” and “were telling people they weren’t married when they were.”

Now that they have been blissfully married for several months, we hope they have time to plan the wedding of their dreams.
