Our Christmas wish already came true when the Jonas Brothers reunited as a band earlier this summer. Hot off the heels of their Happiness Begins tour, the group released a holiday single entitled “Like It’s Christmas.” What are fans saying about this cheerful song? Will the group drop more holiday music in the future? Here’s what we know about this boy band and their recent release, “Like It’s Christmas.”
The Jonas Brothers shared an announcement with fans on Nov. 4, 2019
For some, as soon as Halloween is over, the Christmas season begins. That includes the Grammy-award winning artist, Mariah Carey, who started celebrating with a phone call from Santa Claus himself. As a result, the Jonas Brothers send a tweet to their fans.
“Mariah Carey has given the world the green light, so the holiday season has begun!!! Our brand new original Christmas song
#LikeItsChristmas is out on Friday people,” the Jonas Brothers’ Twitter account wrote.
In the past, after the group split, members of the Jonas Brothers released holiday songs as solo artists. Nick Jonas and Shania Twain released, “Say All You Want for Christmas.” Joe Jonas’s band, DNCE, released songs like “Christmas Without You” and “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.”
However, this is one of the first times the group premiered a Christmas single together. (In 2009, they performed “All I Want for Christmas is the Girl of My Dreams” at Rockefeller Center. The group performed a second Christmas-related show in 2009, at the “Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.”)
Fans of the Jonas Brothers are taking to social media, sharing their love for ‘Like It’s Christmas’
On Nov. 8, 2019, the Jonas Brothers released “Like It’s Christmas” on most streaming platforms. When the song premiered on YouTube, it earned over a hundred thousand views from fans.
In fact, listeners around the globe spread their love for this new holiday song. Some even took to Twitter, sharing the response with this band of brothers. One Twitter user said, “Let’s get into that Christmas spirit, reply with a Jonas Brothers song but replace one of the words by Christmas. Please be Christmas.”
“It’s out in Australia. Such a cute song. Sadly can’t relate to the winter/snow lyrics but a girl can dream,” wrote another Twitter user. There’s no word regarding whether or not this boy band will release more holiday music.
The Jonas Brothers aren’t the only artists getting in the Holiday spirit
There’s plenty of new holiday music for streaming this year. Earlier this November, Grammy-award winning country artist, Kacey Musgraves announced her holiday special, entitled The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show. Pentatonix released their Christmas album, featuring a few new songs and artists like Whitney Houston and Kelly Clarkson.
Fans can see the Jonas Brothers perform live on their Happiness Begins tour. Music by the Jonas Brothers, including their recently released single, “Like It’s Christmas,” is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most music platforms.
