The Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers beams as he enjoys dinner after cancer diagnosis

The Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has been spotted out and about one month after revealing his cancer diagnosis.

Dave was out and about in London enjoying some dinner with his friend and Hairy Bikers co-star Si King.

With both men beaming at the camera, the duo strolled to a local restaurant to grab a bite to eat.

The duo's outing comes after the 64-year-old announced he would be taking some time off from work with Si as he undergoes chemotherapy.

But much to their fans' delight, the pair also enjoyed the Platinum Jubilee Pageant and even took part as they rode on top of the National Treasures bus through London.

Sharing a snap of themselves on Instagram, the two pals were left giddy as they posed outside of Buckingham Palace.

They captioned the snap: "What a great weekend we had! We could do it all over again, so when’s the next one?"

While Dave undergoes his treatment, his sidekick Si declared he wouldn't make any shows without him.

When he appeared at the Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards the Geordie star told the Daily Mail there was "no Hairy Bikers without Dave".

Accepting the Personality Of The Year award on behalf of them both alongside Dave's wife Liliana Orzac, Si admitted it was "odd" for him not to be with his friend.

He said: "We've always been joined at the hip, so it's very odd for me and it's very odd for Dave. We'll get through it — he's as tough as an old boot."

Although he has no plans to make any food shows without his co-star, he'll still be hitting the road but for a different reason.

Si has a 12-piece funk band called Little Moscow who he will be on an all year tour with.

Taking a playful approach to his return, Dave joked his debut will be the "baldy biker" in his first interview since undergoing chemotherapy.

The chef has chosen not to disclose the type of cancer he's been diagnosed with but vowed "I will get over this."

Speaking about his medical condition with his TV cooking partner and Hairy Biker other half, Si on their podcast he said: "I may be a baldy biker for a while… it's simply something I have to live with."

Dave said: "Anyway Kingy, I've got to come clean now, I haven't been too well recently and basically, I've got to have some chemo, you know all this anyway, so this year is going to be a bit quiet for me, I'm not going to be filming, some of the festivals I'm not going to be able to go to, some may be okay but this year's a bit of a write off for us.

"I have had to speak up about this because I don't want to hide under a rock, but I would love it if people respected my privacy and just let me get on with it and give Si and our team all the support they need, that would be great. But look, the prognosis is okay, I'm going to be fine."
