Film and stage acting star Taron Egerton has split from his partner of six years due to a busy work schedule.
The Hollywood star had been with assistant director Emily Thomas, who has worked on the likes of Wonder Woman and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, for six years.
The two briefly split for four months in 2018, which he described as "cathartic" at the time.
Of the split, The Rocketman star said: "It was very cathartic and also, not to put a downer on things, I split up with my girlfriend not long ago and it weirdly felt a bit like reinvention… to sort of change the way I look."
Emily and Taron managed to reconcile, but have reportedly called it quits again amid suggestions of a busy time for the actor. So why have they split?

Taron Egerton and Emily Thomas reportedly split after "pressure" on their relationship due to a busy schedule.
A source claimed: "Taron and Emily have both been really busy for the past year and it put a lot of pressure on their relationship.
"They have separated and it hasn’t been easy for either of them. He is taking some time for himself now but he is open to meeting someone else soon."
The Sun source claims Taron has moved on to the dating app Raya, a private dating app often used by celebrities. Raya members have to be referred to the app by already existing members.
"He has been putting himself out there on Raya in the hopes he can ease himself back into dating," the source claimed.
Why did Taron Egerton quit stage show?
Worrying reports from the beginning of March emerged when it was revealed Taron Egerton collapsed on stage while performing at London’s Ambassador Theatre.
The Kingsman and Rocketman actor fainted while acting in the first performance of the play Cock.
Taron wrote after the incident: "I passed out during the first performance of Cock last night. I am completely fine. Slightly sore neck and a bruised ego but I'm fine.
"Apparently you're meant to actually do the full show and not just three-quarters of it."
He later quit Cock completely due to "personal reasons", with his withdrawal leading to Joel Harper-Jackson taking over the role.
Taron is set to appear in the upcoming series Black Bird and the biographical film Tetris.

He said on The Graham Norton Show: "It’s been nine years since I have been on stage, but it was always my first love.
"In my youth I performed in musical theatre and Shakespeare and that was what I thought I would do with my life, but then after drama school I got a big film and life has happened since then, so I haven’t had a chance to do theatre. I am really excited to be back."
