Strictly’s HRVY ‘tests positive for coronavirus’ days before partnering

Strictly Come Dancing contestant HRVY has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

HRVY, whose real name is Harvey Cantwell is believed to have contracted the virus, despite showing no symptoms.

The 21-year-old has recently been in contact with other members of cast and crew on the BBC show, who are now also being tested.

Singer HRVY is now in self-isolation until October 8, just four days before the contestants were due to be paired with their dancing professionals.

If he is unable to recover, the former Friday Download presenter will be forced to walk away from the show.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "This is the last thing Strictly wanted.

"They've been jumping through hoops since day one to make sure everything is done safely and with as minimal risk to the cast and crew as possible."

The mole went on to say that this is the "worst-case scenario".
