Nick Jonas officially confirms his engagement to Priyanka Chopra

Congratulations are in order for Nick Jonas and his other half Priyanka Chopra.

After plenty of speculation, the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor and ‘Bacon’ singer has confirmed that the pair are now officially engaged.

Posting a photo of the couple looking all loved up on his Instagram, Jonas wrote: “Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love.”

Priyanka also posted the same photo on her own social account, adding the caption: “Taken.. With all my heart and soul..”

The confirmation came after Nick Jonas and his parents flew to Mumbai to join Priyanka and her family for the couple’s roka ceremony, a pre-wedding ceremony in Indian weddings that’s used to declare that the couple are officially engaged.

Typically, the ceremony will see both families come together to exchange gifts and bless the couple, as well as introduce the families to each other.

Quantico actress Chopra recently uploaded a photo of herself with friend Raveena Tandon that sent the rumour mill into overdrive, due to her visible Tiffany & Co ring.

It was recently reported that Jonas had proposed to Chopra on her 36th birthday, and that he even closed down a Tiffany & Co store so he could choose her a ring.

Jonas and Chopra like to keep their relationship low-key, with the latter saying her “personal life is not for public consumption”.

She said: “Ninety per cent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 per cent is for me. I’m a girl; I have the right to keep that to myself.

They were originally photographed together at the Met Gala in May last year, and didn’t publicly confirm that they were a couple until this June.

Meanwhile, in other Jonas news, Nick’s brother Kevin recently posted a throwback to the Jonas Brothers single ‘SOS’, reminding the world that is has been 11 years since those simpler times where you would chuck your phone in a bin after receiving a break-up text, rather than being unable to put it down for more than five seconds.
