Michael Bublé reveals the reason he refuses to talk about son's cancer battle

Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato have devoted the last two years of their lives to nursing their young son Noah through liver cancer — and it’s a battle they’ve understandably kept private.

In the two years since his diagnosis, Noah has made an incredible recovery, and that has allowed Bublé to begin working on his music again with the new album Love.

This week, Bublé promoted the album on Smooth Radio and chatted about why his family have chosen to keep the details of Noah’s cancer battle private for the most part.

“I don’t love talking about it, it’s too painful, really,” he acknowledged. “The truth is, I haven’t been given permission from my little boy to go there.

“So, what I can tell you, is that whatever you think of me, just know that when we were going through the worst parts, you people gave me and my wife faith in humanity. You made us realise in the worst times that people are beautiful and caring and empathetic and kind.

“And the reason I am back here and even able to have a record, and come and entertain you is because of you. You showed me the love.

“When we were there in those times, you have no idea how you saved us. Because we knew you were praying for us, we got the messages and we could feel the outpouring of support, and I just want to say thank you.”

Thankfully, the family have much to celebrate these days. Noah’s health has improved, and Luisana and Michael welcomed a baby daughter named Vida back in July as well.
