It’s only been a day since RM a.k.a. Rap Monster released his surprise mixtape “Mono”, but he has already released another video for another track off the effort. The leader of BTS (Bangtan Boys) dropped a lyric video of second track “Seoul”.

Keeping true to the title of the song, the YongSeok Choi-directed video features cinematic shots of the city as RM could be heard singing the Honne-produced track. The song itself revolves around his complicated relationship with the place he calls home. “If love and hate are the same words/ I love you Seoul/ If love and hate are the same words/ I hate you Seoul,” he sings.

Towards the end of the video, a brief scene of RM sitting in a car outside a convenience store is flickered on the screen. He is seen answering a phone call and tells his friend that he is about to leave the place. The scene then changes to show beautiful shots of Han river.

The video apparently makes many fans want to go to Seoul, with one excitedly writing in the comment section, “That’s it!!! I’m swimming to Seoul!!” Another similarly comments, “Even though you haven’t been to seoul this video makes you want to go to Korea.”

Aside from “Seoul”, “Mono” includes other six tracks such as “Tokyo”, “Everythinggoes” featuring NELL and “Forever Rain”, which has already gotten an animated music video treatment. The effort topped iTunes album chart in 86 countries hours after its release, becoming the first Korean album to top album chart in 86 countries.

Talking about the album in a Fancafe post, RM said, “I hope that many people could interpret and understand my music in each their own language and expressions. [I’m] hoping that each [person] will fill-up their own empty space [on their own]!”
