Madonna rocks up over two hours late for her debut Madame X show

Madonna was left apologising to fans last night after kicking off her debut Madame X show.

Madonna, 61, was due on stage at New York's Howard Gilman Opera House at 8.30pm. However, by 10.30pm she was nowhere to be see.

Eventually, by 10.45pm, over two hours late, Madge kicked off her theatre show.

The delay meant she didn't wrap up the show until 1am.

Taking to Twitter, one fan moaned: "Well, glad I decided to pass on Madonna.

"Obnoxiously late (not Duran Duran petty late) and that setlist does not impress me at all."

Another added: "Opening night for Madonna’s Madame X Tour…10:45-1am (show time was supposed to be 8:30)

"The last time I got out of a concert this late was Madonna."

However, others were more understanding.

"Madonna famously starts late and tonight’s Madame X tour kickoff was no exception with her going on at 11pm and ending past 1am. But she did hilariously apologise," one supporter tweeted.

A second continued: "She did apologise for being late and promised it wouldn’t happen again and gave us that signature wink she does, we all died!
