Love Island star Millie Court’s best friend Ryan Lloyd has defended his childhood pal after Tuesday’s fallout with Faye Winter.
The 24-year-old is the latest to come under Faye’s wrath after the blonde bombshell flipped her lid when she found herself and her partner Teddy Soares in the bottom three as one of the least compatible couples in the villa.
And the lettings manager didn’t hold back as she caused chaos amongst her fellow contestants when they shared their views on her relationship with Teddy.
But the contestant’s comment who hurt the most was Essex gem Millie after Faye turned to her for advice regarding her on-again off-again coupling with the 26-year-old hunk.
But now, Millie’s childhood best friend has spoken out in defence of his pal as he continues to manage her social media accounts throughout her time in the villa.
During his appearance on the Mads World podcast with Australian belle Maddy Carty, the supportive friend jumped to her side after she was criticised on the show for her and Liam’s decision.
He said: “She’s such a good support [system]. She’s honestly the go to girl for advice. The amount of times I’ve sat and cried with her for hours over some situation or vice versa.”
When asked whether or not fans are watching the real Millie on the show, the red-haired bestie answered: “100 per cent. She's such a good person to go to for advice, she’s just so level headed, she’s so mature. She's the unproblematic queen.”
And while the Millie and Faye may have locked horns during Tuesday’s episode, Ryan admitted that he really likes Faye despite the backlash she has received on Love Island.
He confessed: “I’m not even going to lie – I really like Faye. I feel like everyone has such mixed reviews on her but I kind of feel a bit sad for her because you can see she’s been hurt and she’s trying so hard to really push herself and break down her barriers.”
And it’s not just Millie’s closest friends who have been watching the show with bated breath, after her loving dad Rob made a comical nod to her and Liam Reardon’s raunchy bedroom antics online.
The doting dad shared a sweet selfie of himself with his daughter on his personal Instagram account @courtyneonart with a cheeky caption which alluded to her bedroom behaviour.
He captioned the post: “Looking forward to seeing my Millie tonight on Love Island. I have missed the last couple of nights, but I hear Mils is finding time for some important studying in the evenings.
“See … all you young guns out there, it’s not just about partying all the time! You gotta get the balance right.”
Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.
