Louise Redknapp confesses to finding coronavirus restrictions ‘really tough’

Louise Redknapp appeared on Rylan Clark's BBC 2 Radio show and admitted that she was finding the Covid-19 crisis a struggle.

Speaking openly on-air she spoke about how her family were coping with the government's current restrictions.

The formal Eternal band member tried to turn the situation into a "positive" but despite her best efforts was still finding it "really tough".

It is no secret that the mum-of-two has been keeping herself busy recently, always out and about.

The 45-year-old stunner confessed that she is "really bad at staying in" but was finding it more challenging to keep her teenager indoors.

After being prompted by funnyman Rylan to discuss her coping mechanisms, the songstress said: "Do you know what, if I’m really honest, I’m really bad at staying in all the time.

"I’ve obviously got a teenager and trying to keep a teenager indoors is equally tough, but I’m actually just trying to look at it as time to spend with the family which I don’t always get to do if I’m working.

"I’m trying to make it positive but it’s tough, it’s really tough."

Louise was quick to recognise that others could be going through even bigger challenges at this time.

She added: "I know there are lots of people going through a lot worse. Our NHS staff are doing incredible so I’m just trying to keep up with what’s going on and abide by the rules really."

Louise has been exceptionally busy over the last few months promoting her new album Heavy Love, which went on sale in January.

Speaking about her album's success, she explained to Rylan: "I loved doing it, I loved making it. It’s quite a personal album. I actually had no expectations.

"I just put it out thinking it would be great if it does ok, but do you know what’s been really nice for me, it’s had great reviews, and it’s been quite critically acclaimed in the pop world.

"For me, I’ve never had an album that’s done that before so I’m kind of proud of that because I wrote it. Yes, so I’m really excited about it."

Louise's admitted that her album was "personal" to her as there are lyrics in some of her tracks that reference the star's split from Jamie Redknapp in December 2017.

The pair were married for 19 years and share two children together.

It is said that the couple parted amicably and continue to work as a team to co-parent the children together.
