Liam Payne’s mum has said she’s “worried sick” after the singer was rushed to hospital in Italy.
The One Direction star is reported to have fallen ill during a holiday in Lake Como, with The Sun quoting a source as saying he was in "a bad way".
It came days after Liam told fans that he had to postpone his upcoming tour of South America because of a "serious kidney infection".

His mum Karen, 62, has now told the MailOnline that he’s likely to be in hospital for a week and how “helpless” she feels.
"We are all worried sick about it but we just have to get on,” she said.
“It’s horrible – him being all the way over there. He’s in Milan and it sounds like he’ll be there for a week.
“I feel helpless."
Karen was said to be emotional as she revealed it was difficult as there was nothing she could do amid the “horrible situation” and could just hope that Liam was in the best place possible.
The Sun reported that Liam had been with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy at the picturesque lake town when he became ill.
He was taken to A&E in an ambulance before being admitted.
The Bedroom Floor singer postponed his tour in August, telling fans on Instagram: “It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.
"Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.
“I was beyond excited to come play for you guys.
"To all of you who have bought tickets: I’m so sorry.”
