Kim Kardashian’s relationship history as she files for divorce from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West, her rep has confirmed to the New York Times, seven years after they got married.

The former couple have been at the centre of divorce rumours for months and it seems there was some truth to the speculation as they're now set to go their separate ways.

According to TMZ, the celebrity couple hope to have an "amicable" divorce, with Kim, 40, requesting joint legal and physical custody of their four children.

The duo first met in the early 2000s before eventually starting dating in April 2012.

But what about Kim's romances before she met the famous rapper?

Daily Star is exploring Kim Kardashian's relationship history as she files for divorce from Kanye West.

Kanye West

Kanye and Kim had a long history together as they met in the early 2000s.

They began dating in April 2012 when Kim was still legally married to her second husband Kris Humphries.

Kanye proposed to Kim on October 21, 2013, which was Kim's 33rd birthday.

They got married seven months later in a lavish Florence wedding and stayed together for seven years.

The former couple have four children – North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm.

Damon Thomas

Kim was just 19 when she married Grammy-nominated music producer Damon Thomas.

With an age gap of 10 years between them, they tied the knot in 2000.

Their marriage lasted three years as Damon initiated their separation in 2003, and they divorced in 2004.

He claimed Kim "cheated" on him, but she has claimed he was "physically abusive" and controlling.

Kim rarely speaks about their relationship, but she did tell Scott Disick during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she was "on ecstasy" when she married Damon.

Ray J

After Kim and Damon divorced, the reality star met rapper Ray J while working as a stylist for his sister, singer Brandy Norwood.

During their relationship, they filmed a sex tape together while on holiday in Mexico to celebrate her 23rd birthday and it was infamously leaked after they split in 2007.

The leaked tape was sold to porn giant Vivid Entertainment, who put out a press release stating the tape had been bought from an unnamed third party for $1million.

Kim filed a lawsuit against Vivid but failed to stop the tape's release. She reportedly settled with them for $5million.

Nick Lachey

Kim had a brief romance with television star Nick Lachey in 2006, after his divorce from Jessica Simpson.

Years after they split, Lachey claimed Kim had used him for publicity.

He told Huffington Post in 2013: "Let's just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside."

Nick Cannon

Kim and television presenter and comedian Nick Cannon shared a romance from 2006 to 2007.

Cannon, who shares two children with ex-wife Mariah Carey, claimed the couple parted ways because Kim "lied about the tape" and its release.

He said on The Howard Stern Show: "This was my issue. We talked about this tape… And she told me there was no tape… She's actually one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

"But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?"

Reggie Bush

Kim dated NFL star Reggie Bush from 2007 until 2009.

The couple broke up but then reunited again in 2009 before permanently ending their romance in 2010.

Bush was the first of Kim's boyfriends to be documented on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Reggie has said their split was amicable and he commended Kim for creating a brand after their romance.

He told Metro: "She's doing a great job creating a brand for herself, her and her family. I'm happy for 'em … she's very smart."

Miles Austin

Kim was in a relationship with football professional Miles Austin after her romance with Bush.

They split up in 2010 and they ended their romance due to the relationship being long-distance.

They dated from June until September, and reports say they also split due to the pressure of their respective schedules.

Despite their relationship being short-lived, Kim reportedly branded their love "the real deal".

Kris Humphries

Kim's marriage to Kris Humphries is without a doubt one of her most documented relationships (aside from her romance with Kanye, of course).

Their romance was heavily documented on KUWTK and their wedding was even broadcasted on the popular reality show.

Kim and the basketball player tied the knot at a beautiful star-studded ceremony, but their marriage lasted for just 72 days.

They started dating in late 2010, got engaged in May 2011, got married in August and then divorced in October.

At the time, it was reported the wedding day cost $10million (£7.1m), with the cake costing as much as any non-celebrity's entire day would – $20,000 (£14,270).

Divorce proceedings revealed Kim earned more than $2m (£1.4m) for the wedding day though, so she could easily afford the cake.
