Kerry Katona compares Anthony Joshua speech to her slurred This Morning chat

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has jokingly compared Anthony Joshua's passionate post-fight speech to her infamous interview on This Morning and claimed he definitely "topped" it.

Following his recent boxing defeat which saw Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk win on points over the weekend, Anthony took the mic to share his thoughts on the match and his overall boxing journey.

But many fans were rather shocked by his rambling tirade, with some complaining that his emotional outburst was unprofessional.

And although the boxer went on to congratulate Oleksandr, Anthony, 32, could be seen throwing his winning belts out of the boxing ring.

Seeing his speech unfold, I'm A Celeb star Kerry had a lot to say about it.

Jumping onto her Instagram story, Kerry wrote: "AJ's speech at the end of his boing match tops my This Morning interview," followed by a string of laughing emojis.

Kerry's infamous speech on This Morning in 2008 saw her slurring her words during an interview while speaking to presenters Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton.

Due to her mannerisms and speech being rather slow, there was speculation that she was drunk while on the live ITV show.

Despite the rumours, Kerry later claimed that the medication she was on for her bipolar disorder caused her speech to be slurred at the time.

Last year, mother of five Kerry said her infamous This Morning speech left her feeling suicidal and blamed presenters Phil and former host Fern for not asking whether she was ok.

She said: "Never once did they say to me, ‘Oh, oh right – what’s bipolar and what’s the medication you’re taking? I didn’t get any of that.

"Next day, front page of the papers, ‘Sherry Kerry’, ‘Merry Kerry’.

"It was pure bipolar medication. It was just awful. I was suicidal. I wanted to die, I wanted to kill myself. It was everywhere."

Following his defeat, professional boxer Anthony was clearly broken and expressed his sadness in a press conference the next day.

Talking candidly about his choice of words on the night, he said: "I just spoke from my heart. It's been so tough. You see AJ holding it together, yeah, and I'm a hustler so I try put things together. Try work hard and put things together and make sure my team's good.

"But it comes at a cost, a big cost. It'll never break me, but it takes real strength for it not to break me. And tonight, there's a little crack in the armour when I took a loss."
