The latest music video by Irish group VINCI has been praised for raising awareness of the homeless crisis.
The Dublin based five-piece consisting of lead singer Kurtis Wade Murphy, bassist Noely Musgrave, keyboardist David Doyle, guitarist Andy Lestrange and drummer Leo Cassandro, released the new video on Friday.
The video stars former Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen who met the band in February at the Oscar Wilde Awards in Los Angelas.
“I said I wanted to do a music video to highlight the homeless crisis in Ireland,” Mr Murphy told Independent.ie.

“So I talked to Aidan about it and despite being so busy with Game of Thrones and other projects he seemed really interested.”
The singer said he was inspired to produce a video about homelessness after his father, Patric,k passed away last year after years working with homeless people.
“It has gotten so much worse recently, even just in the time we spent in LA, when we returned to Dublin it had gotten worse.,” he said.
“In LA we went to skid row and saw the large homeless population there. The same thing is going to happen in Dublin if something doesn’t change now.
“Dublin will have a tent community because people just won’t have any other option. That is where it is going to end up, this is where it is going.”
The video, directed by Irish director Mark Doyle was filmed on a modest budget and in only eight hours.
“Mark directed our first two music videos, and he is such an incredible director. He’s going to become one of the best directors in Ireland soon,” said Mr Murphy.
The three minute long film follows a father (Aidan Gillen) and daughter (Róisín Dunne) enjoying a day out in Dublin before it is revealed they live in a tent.
“Even though I wanted to make a video about homelessness, I wanted to do it from another perspective.
“Everyone thinks that it’s only addicts etc that can be homeless. But it can affect anyone.
“We shot the video at six locations around Dublin that either have a large homeless community or are significant in Irish history.”
The video has since received support from 15 homeless charities including Focus Ireland, Inner City Helping Homeless, Aware, The Simon Community, and The Homeless World Cup in Ireland alone.
“The reaction has been incredible, honestly, but it’s no surprise. With Aidan Gillen involved, it was bound to draw eyes.
“We are hoping this can start a conversation that will make an impact and create some real solutions to the issue, before it’s too late.”
Aidan Gillen recently performed alongside partner Camille O’Sullivan at the Rock Against Homelessness concert at Dubiln’s Olympia Theatre, which raised vital funds for Focus Ireland.
