Inside Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley’s glam home – chandeliers to ‘house rule’

Strictly Come Dancing stars Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley have taken things to the next level and bought a stunning house in London – after years of living in flats.

The happy couple fell for each other when they were partnered up in 2018, with pro dancer Kevin teaching TV presenter Stacey how to impress the judges.

However, they've clearly come a long way since sparks first flew between them on the BBC One show, because they've now moved into a swanky London house with a gorgeous garden.

The gorgeous property boasts an array of features – including fancy French doors, tiled fireplaces, a lush marble table and a beautiful garden.

Stacey and Kevin started giving fans regular glimpses into their exciting house move, calling their journey 'Project Reno'.

It appears the house has become something of an Instagram sensation since the big 'Project Reno' launch, because it racks up over 20,000 likes on some photos.

The couple's dining area features a huge marble table, a sizable floor mirror and and French doors which reveal the pair's picturesque garden.

An attractive white chandelier can also be seen hanging from the ceiling the spacious room.

Stacey, who has been leading the interior design of the house, said: "Feel so lucky and excited. I’ve never had my own front door or garden as an adult until now!

"Let me know of second hand/indie spots and tradesmen etc…"

"Will bore you with progress."

Kevin's domain is the garden, and Stacey explained that he's loved working on it so much that she calls him "Kev Titchmarsh".

Speaking on the event site, Fane, Stacey said: "When the lockdown kicked off, we were in this tiny flat and I thought, ‘We need a house’.

"So we bought the house and have a garden – and Kev is never out of it.

"I think if I’d have been single [during the lockdown], I’d have been so lonely. It breaks my heart, the idea that people had to go through this alone."

It appears Kevin and Stacey are fond of their plants, too, because they've made sure to place a whole family of plants in the house – from bonsai trees to flowers in pots.

Their conservatory is a show-stopper, as it features an enormous patio area with a dining bench that would be perfect for hosting dinner parties in the summer season.

Whilst Stacey is delighted to have moved into their London home, she admitted she's not particularly happy with the dancing pro as he apparently never uses coasters on their marble table.

She said: "Kev keeps using it and not putting coasters down. That’s stressful,"

Stacey's completed the makeover of her bedroom and it now looks incredible with its sheepskin rugs, plush white bedding, and stylish cream carpet.

She told The One Show: "I feel so lucky to have a house because I’ve never had a proper house before, it’s always been flats.

"So, I’m making sure everything is immaculate – yeah I’m doing everyone’s heads in – but it’s looking lovely."

She went on to say that Kevin isn't "fussy" about how the house looks.

She added: "He’s just not interested, he’s not fussed in the slightest.

"I said to Kev, ‘Oh we’re going to have this paint texture and it’s really going to look the part.'"
