Warner previously dated his soap cast mate Stephanie Davis. Here's a look at their nine-month whirlwind romance and the brutal reason why they split up.
When did Owen Warner and Stephanie Davis start dating?
Owen Warner confirmed his romance with Hollyoaks co-star Stephanie Davis in December 2018.
The pair dated for nine months and got pretty serious quickly, with Owen moving into Stephanie's home and becoming a father figure for her son Caben-Albi.
Davis revealed that her son called Owen "daddy" during an interview with Closer magazine.
She said: "His bond with Caben is incredible, I feel a bit left out sometimes. Owen’s been in his life for so long that Caben calls him ‘Dada’ most of the time. Owen gets emotional about it."
The couple even sparked engagement rumours after Warner captioned a picture of them with "Can't believe I found my wife", to which she replied "I can't WAIT to be your wife I love you."
Though things seemed to be going smoothly for the loved-up couple, they broke up after nine months of dating in September 2019.
Why did Owen Warner and Stephanie Davis split?
Owen Warner and Stephanie Davis called an end to their relationship reportedly as Owen felt things were moving too fast.
The then 20-year-old actor blocked Davis on Instagram without telling her.
At the time, insiders close to the couple told the Mirror that "Owen was definitely not getting back with her."
They said: "She's been hounding him since he broke things off. It's all very stressful for him at the moment. Stephanie absolutely lost it when she found out he'd changed the photo of them on his social accounts. It felt like a final blow as it was so public and she feels he doesn't understand how the game works."
Sources claimed that the young actor felt suffocated by the relationship that seemed to move forward at "100 miles an hour".
Stephanie took a break from Hollyoaks after their split, eventually quitting the soap after 10 years.
