Grand Ole Opry at Bonnaroo to Return With Steve Earle, Ricky Skaggs

The Grand Ole Opry is returning to Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival for the second consecutive year, bringing a diverse lineup of performers to Manchester, Tennessee, on the festival’s opening night, Thursday, June 13th.

Hosted once again by Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show — who will also perform — the event will include music from Steve Earle & the Dukes, fellow Opry members Ricky Skaggs and Riders in the Sky, Morgan Evans, Ashley Monroe, Molly Tuttle and Wendy Moten. Featuring announcer Bill Cody and the Opry Square Dancers, the show will be broadcast live as usual and available for streaming on opry.com or wsmonline.com as well as on Nashville’s 650 AM-WSM.

“The Opry’s inaugural trip to Bonnaroo last year was nothing short of amazing,” said Opry Entertainment Group Senior Vice President Sally Williams in a release. “All of us fortunate enough to be part of that performance loved watching some of the world’s biggest music fans connect with the Opry, many for the first time.”

The inaugural Opry at Bonnaroo in 2018 marked the rare occasion for the long-running country music show to take place outside of Nashville. Performers included Bobby Bare, Del McCoury Band, Brothers Osborne, Lanco and Lucie Silvas.

Bonnaroo 2019 takes place June 13th through 16th, with performers including Phish, Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Childish Gambino, Maren Morris and Luke Dick’s Republican Hair.
