Gogglebox’s Amy Tapper ‘ready to find love’ after three-stone weight loss

Amy Tapper has said she's ready to find love after having lost three stone since the start of her weight loss transformation.

The former Gogglebox star, 20, said she's feeling "more confident in different ways than before" after having "a couple of bad experiences" with guys.

But she explained that while Celebs Go Dating was a positive experience for her, she couldn't properly commit to the show's goal.

"I wouldn't have been able to properly like someone back then because I didn't like myself," she told The Sun, "and I am a true believer that you can't love anyone else until you love yourself, but now I do love me for me."

Now, she's looking for that romantic connection and hopes her true love will just stumble upon her.

Amy said: "I am looking to walk out of my house one day, drop my books and the love of my life comes and pick them up.

"I still think that is what will happen to me.

"There are sometimes when I think I would love a boyfriend, I just have to trust my timings and I know it will happen when I am ready."

Amy unveiled the results of her three stone weight loss at the start of this year and continued with her healthier lifestyle through the first lockdown.

She was working out at home and enjoying a healthy diet, and she also has a personal trainer.

And it was a family affair for Amy, as her dad Jonathan also lost three stone on the same Muscle Food plan.

He had been diagnosed with diabetes and lost three stone, which Amy said saved his life after he picked up Covid-19.

The 52-year-old was left fighting for his life however having a health and fitness plan beforehand "made a huge difference", Amy explained.

Her impressive weight loss and before and after photos have turned her into a role model for other young girls struggling with their weight.

She said: "I get so many messages about having motivation – so it is great to have them with me on my journey."
