George Michael to release posthumous single on Wednesday amid Fadi Fawaz fury

George Michael’s estate will drop a new song from the late music icon this week.

The track, which will be released on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, will be the first time fans have heard new music from the British chart-topping legend since George Michael died on Christmas Day 2016.

The track, entitled This Is How, is from the soundtrack of the forthcoming film Last Christmas – a festive romantic comedy inspired by and featuring the music of George Michael and Wham!

Speaking about the song, Zoe said: "I was, and am, a huge Wham! and George Michael fan and even though he is no longer with us, his music remains a joy to us all.

“I’m honoured to be premiering this previously unheard song from George on my breakfast show."

Meanwhile, Jeff Smith, Head of Music, Radio 2 and 6 Music, added: "Ever since they burst into the pop charts in 1982 with Young Guns, the music of both Wham! and George Michael has been loved by Radio 2 listeners.

“I’m thrilled that they will be the first to hear this very special record."

George's new music comes just days after his ex Fadi Fawaz went on a shock pubic rant about the Careless Whisper singer.

Fadi, who is thought to currently be living in a central London Travelodge, took to Twitter before making a string of unfounded claims about George.

Fadi Fawaz's Twitter account has claimed George Michael 'was HIV positive' in a string of early morning posts.

An initial tweet simply read: "George Micheal was HIV+"

Minutes later a second post claimed: "We found out in Vienna after his illness."

The account then directly replied a fan saying: "And sex with him was so boring…" before making intimate claims about their sex life.

It is not known if any of the allegations made by Fadi Fawaz' Twitter account are true.
