Game of Thrones' Casey Michaels is suing the production company of the hit TV show for £4million after she claimed she suffered career ending injuries on set.
The 32-year-old was playing a zombie, otherwise known as a 'wight' on the show, when she appeared on a handful of episodes on the hit TV series.
Casey was asked to walk off a rooftop as part of her performance and she has since claimed that she suffered catastrophic leg injuries during a scene where she attacked an undead horde on the show.
She claims that the injuries she allegedly suffered while filming Northern Ireland ended her career.
She is suing Fire and Blood Productions Ltd, the producers of the hit TV show, for £4m as she claimed the "landing area" she jumped down into while performing the stunt was unsafe.
One big aspect of her lawsuit is the loss of future earnings due to her career coming to an end..
The stuntwoman had appeared in multiple movies and TV shows prior to the accident, with roles in Star Wars and acting as a body double for multiple A-list stars.
However, lawyers for Fire and Blood Productions LTD deny any blame and have decided to fight her claims at London's High Court.
Lawyers for Ms Michaels have said that her accident occurred on February 5, 2018, during filming for Game of Thrones season eight and an episode titled The Long Night.
A pre-trial hearing at the High Court saw judge Master Richard Dawson told that Ms Michaels has claimed the area she leapt off the roof was "not safe to land on".
Stephen Friday, speaking for Ms Michaels, stated that the "state of the landing area is in dispute".
Mr Friday added: "She was a young stunt performer of considerable potential. We say she had the potential to go on and be a stunt coordinator or a second unit director."
Jonathan Bellamy, speaking for Fire and Blood, told the judge that as well as denying liability, the company is contesting the size of the claim.
He stated that the "future employment prospects of the claimant as injured" is one of the biggest areas they're disputing.
The case will return to court at a later date as the trial will continue.
