Ferne McCann admits she named daughter Sunday after a brand of facial cleanser

Ferne McCann has admitted she named her daughter Sunday after her favourite skin care brand.

The former The Only Way is Essex star has a four-year-old girl, who she shares with ex boyfriend, Arthur Collins.

Ferne gave birth to her little girl in November 2017. Speaking on the Sam and Billie podcast, hosted by the Faiers sisters, Ferne said she got the idea to name her child Sunday after using the face wash product.

She told the sisters: “The name Sunday was because I was using a face cleanser by the brand Sunday Riley. It was like a clay mask.

“I just thought like, you know, like many other makeup and beauty brands with a females first name and second name, you could probably think of some in your head. I just thought that was her name.

“And I was like, that is so nice. That is such a lovely name.”

Ferne had plenty of other baby names in the works but did not want to commit to a name until her child had been born.

She said: “I had other [names] such as Roberta and lots of different ones. I didn’t have any boy names.

“When she arrived, I was like; ‘yeah’, so obviously I feel like you’ve got to see your baby’s face and it just felt so, so right.”

Ferne then awkwardly let slip that she doesn’t regularly tune in to her friend’s weekly podcast instalments, but her PA does.

She said: “Do you know what? I really like the bite sized bits on social media. My PA listens to your podcast regularly and she said: ‘Oh! This comes up about you the other day!’ And I love it.”

It comes after Ferne confirmed her boyfriend will appear on her ITV show, as it was "non-negotiable".

The 31-year-old star said: "I've been in past relationships and they haven't wanted to be involved but this time I said it was non-negotiable.

"So, it feels really different this series and I'm really excited for viewers to tune in."

She continued: "He's moved in and you see that development on the show and I can't believe it.
