Carol Vorderman flaunts legs in black mesh leggings during winter hike

Carol Vorderman got in touch with nature this week, returning to her native Wales for a wholesome day of trekking.

Dressing for the occasion, the 59-year-old, who will celebrate her 60th birthday on Christmas Eve, donned appropriate gear, wrapping up in lycra leggings and hiking boots.

Sharing a snap of her outfit with fans via Twitter, Carol showed off her padded duffle coat – from highstreet brand Superdry – which was thrown over a black ribbed tee.

Cosy blue woollen socks added extra warmth, and her hair, which has been highlighted in tones of honey blonde, whipped around in the breeze.

During her walk, Carol filled her ears with music, a pair of matte grey headphones perched on her head.

Adding the hashtag "home," the former Countdown presenter made it clear she’d been exploring the wilds of Pembrokeshire in Wales.

Taking in the view from the coast, Carol continued her stroll through green farmland, where she happened across a herd of grazing cows.

Having worked up an appetite during her stroll, the radio presenter headed home to tuck into a hearty dinner of pasta with a herb sauce.

Filling fans in on her day of adventure, she said: "My day……I love cows (what you looking at handsome?)…pasta…and pebbles….."

The comment section below was filled with doting messages from her fans, as they complimented her fashionable take on sensible hiking gear.

One said: "Hi Carol what walking boots do you wear? Would love to get my wife a good pair for Christmas. Thanks."

"Lovely photos Carol," wrote a second, and a third penned: "Nice legs Carol!"

This isn’t Carol’s first trek – the maths whizz is a proud nature lover, regularly tackling the trails and walkways of her home county in Wales.

The mum-of-two likes to walk 12 and 20 miles twice a week, occasionally pushing herself to do 26-mile hikes in the Brecon Beacons.

Earlier this year, she laced up her hiking boots for a good cause, hoping to raise much-needed funds for a voluntary group dedicated to fighting Prostate Cancer.

Back in July, she declared: "Been racking up the miles hiking for The Big Walk ⁦@pcbigwalk as Team Captain for @ProstateCymru.

"26 Miles done for July now… Yessssssssss. Thank you to everyone who's sponsored me."
