Britney Spears fans convinced she’s already given away name and gender of baby

Britney Spears has appeared to let her 40.7 million Instagram followers in on a little secret.

The pop princess, who is already a mother to two sons – Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15 – who she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, announced earlier this week that she is expecting a child with partner Sam Asghari.

Britney dropped the heartwarming surprise by saying she took a test after gaining weight on a recent holiday.

"I am having a baby. It’s growing! If two are in there, I might just lose it," she wrote.

Now, in her latest Instagram post, the Slave 4 U hit maker posted a close-up photo of half of her face, so captioned the snap with eye emojis and pink heart emojis.

Britney wrote one word – “ROSE!!!” – sending fans wild.

Some fans are convinced that Britney has given away the sex and name of her unborn baby away in the cryptic post.

“It's a girl?” one commented, as another added: “Baby Rose.”

“Is that the babies name?” one follower asked.

Some armchair detectives thought her post could be in reference to lawyer Matthew Rosengart, who helped Britney escape the clutches of her father Jamie, by persuading a judge to put an end to the 13-year conservatorship she was under.

“Is rose ROSENGART or is rose a name for a girl?! Because omg how precious would that be!!!! Rose spears asghari!!” one wrote.

Meanwhile, speculation is also swirling over whether Britney and fiancé Sam are actually already married. And Instagram is at the heart of this rumour, too.

Britney, 40, called actor Sam,28, her 'husband' in the caption of a short video clip that showed the couple sharing a kiss underwater while swimming in a pool.

'Yesterday my HUSBAND and I went swimming …. I’m like a fish,' wrote Britney.

She used the term 'husband' in Monday's pregnancy announcement, as well as an Instagram post on March 4 for Sam's 28th birthday.

The couple got engaged in September 2021 after nearly five years of dating.
