Younes Bendjima may live in Los Angeles, but he’s not exactly hip to the West Coast culture.
On Thursday, the model (and ex-boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian) hosted a launch event for Mask Skincare, which sells sheet masks laced with the soothing cannabis compound — and revealed he’d only just learned about the stuff earlier that day.
“Basically, I started using CBD yesterday. I guess, no, today,” the Algerian star told Page Six Style at the party. “I didn’t know anything about CBD, THC, weed and all that because I don’t know anything about weed. I’m not a smoking person. But I learned that there is actually something very positive in this plant and it’s called CBD and you can use it for skincare, and I just used the mask today and I think it was a good one.”
The brand’s sheet masks retail for $30 each; a box set of three will set you back $85. “My skin was actually, no lie, much better after because I just traveled yesterday and I was a little tired,” Bendjima said, adding that his usual skincare routine is pretty simple.
“I use a lot of Caudalie, I have La Mer, I have a scrub from Kiehl’s and that’s about it. I’m not really into facials; I just take care of myself. Not too much, I leave that to women,” he said.
“I like to do one scrub a week just to exfoliate because I work out a lot, so it’s good to do a little scrub once in a while. I just have my lotion for the day and my lotion for the night and that’s about it.”
